When I got this book in the mail I was very excited because the authors that inspire Melissa are among my favorites. I took a short break to start reading...Being a full time student and self-employed individual I rarely have a chance to read anything other than textbooks or things related to my business but after the first chapter I put everything on hold and read this in one sitting! One of the best books I have ever read!! Gripping and entertaining and filled with passion. Compelling characters and a marvelous plot.
I've known the author for a while and it was like she was telling me this story while we sat in her living room. What fun adventure and I'm looking forward to more.
Great story, engaging characters, and some witty turns of phrase. Not your usual vampire story, the heroine is unaware there is a whole other world peopled with shapeshifters and fairies as well as blood sucking sex gods. She learns quickly but never quite becomes the too-cool-to-be-real main character other series present and expect you to empathize with. A fun read - looking forward to the continuing adventures of Rain!
What a GREAT BOOK ! I really enjoyed the story line and I always love a book that has a surprising ending. I can't wait for the next one to come out. Drahomir !
Great story, I really enjoyed reading these books. Its been a several weeks since I read the first two books but I find myself thinking about the characters and what will happen next. Can't wait for the next book!
I don't usually read paranormal fiction. I'm not into things like Sukie Stackhouse and couldn't even finish the first Twilight book. But I loved this one. It didn't hurt that part of it takes place in my home town and it was easy to visualize each scene there. Rain was fantastic and I can't wait to read Drahomir next.
Fantastic read! If you want a bump in the night love story, mixed with the underworld and vampires, werewolves & demonic creatures, this will be just the right mix. Couldn't put it down once I started. Vampires and the like run throughout this tale and although it is normally not my genre I got sucked right in with the quirky humor, the subtle erotic fantasies and tthe characters themselves! Can't wait for Drahomir! Rumors of a third? Love it!
